Terms

Agreement

These terms cover the website at mockanything.dev and the Mock Anything software. By using either, you agree to them. Mock Anything is a free, non-commercial passion project run by Shreyas Sawant, an independent developer.

The software and its licence

The software is open source under the Apache License 2.0. That licence governs your use, copying and distribution of the code. Third-party notices are in NOTICE, and the website font licence is in OFL.txt.

What it is, and isn't

Mock Anything simulates APIs on your computer for development and testing. Simulated responses are approximations built from public information and may differ from the real services. It does not process payments, send messages or emails, or connect to any provider unless you explicitly ask it to fetch a document. Before relying on an integration in production, test it against the provider's own sandbox.

Acceptable use

Do not use Mock Anything, or anything it produces, to:

Use test data only. Do not enter real card numbers, real keys or other people's personal information.

Names and trademarks

Mock Anything is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company whose API it simulates. Company and product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility. If you represent a company and want a simulation changed or removed, email shreyassaw@gmail.com. We aim to act within 48 hours.

Copyright concerns

If you believe something in Mock Anything infringes your copyright, email shreyassaw@gmail.com with: your contact details; the work you believe is infringed; where the material is; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised; a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and your signature. We will review it and remove material where appropriate.

No warranty

The website and software are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, as described in the Apache License 2.0. You are responsible for how you use them and for testing your own software.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue or profit, arising from the website or software. Because the project is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero, or the lowest amount the law permits.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and note significant changes on the home page. Continuing to use the website or software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
